Handball

Handball is often compared to basketball, but it has its own rules and characteristics. For example, there is no dribbling and players may only hold the ball for a short time. As a result, the game focuses strongly on teamwork, speed, use of space and precision.

The sport is accessible and suitable for different groups. This makes handball interesting for schools, sports clubs, recreational sports locations and municipalities that want to offer new forms of sport.

Mobile goalposts for handball are ideal for locations where flexibility is important. The posts can be placed when handball is being played and moved or stored again after use.

This solution is suitable for sports halls, school playgrounds, gymnasiums, outdoor courts and multi-purpose sports fields. Because the posts are mobile, the same space can also be used for other sports or activities.

Handball is suitable for schools and PE lessons because the rules are easy to explain and the sport encourages a lot of movement. Students work together, keep moving continuously and practise passing, running free and scoring.

Mobile handball goalposts make it possible to quickly convert a gymnasium or school playground into a handball court. After the lesson, the posts can easily be moved or stored away.

Handball can be played both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, the sport is suitable for sports halls and gymnasiums. Outdoors, handball can be applied to school playgrounds, sports courts, recreation fields and multi-purpose sports locations.

The right setup depends on the location, surface and intensity of use. W&H can advise on a suitable configuration for indoor and outdoor applications.

Handball fits well with multi-purpose sports surfaces. A modular sports surface can be used for multiple sports and, depending on the markings and layout, can also be adapted for handball.

In combination with mobile goalposts, a flexible sports setup is created that can be quickly adjusted for different sports, lessons, training sessions or events.

When setting up a handball court, it is important to look at the available space, the surface, the post position, storage space, safety and the desired use. The choice between temporary and more structural use also plays a role.
