More about netball
Netball is a fast team sport in which cooperation, passing, choosing position and accurate shooting are central. The sport is played on a rectangular court with a goal ring without a backboard at both ends. The aim is to throw the ball through the opponent's ring.
W&H supplies materials for the setup of netball courts. This subcategory includes, among other things, mobile posts for netball. These posts are suitable for sports halls, schools, sports parks, multifunctional sports fields and temporary sports setups.
Netball is often compared to basketball, but has its own rules and characteristics. For example, there is no dribbling and players may only hold the ball briefly. As a result, the game strongly revolves around teamwork, speed, use of space and precision.
The sport is approachable and suitable for different target groups. This makes netball interesting for schools, sports clubs, recreational sports locations and municipalities that want to offer new forms of sport.
Mobile posts for netball are ideal for locations where flexibility is important. The posts can be placed when netball is being played and then moved or stored away again after use.
This solution is suitable for sports halls, schoolyards, gymnasiums, outdoor courts and multifunctional sports fields. Because the posts are mobile, the same space can also be used for other sports or activities.
Netball is suitable for schools and PE lessons because the rules are easy to explain and the sport encourages a lot of movement. Pupils work together, keep moving continuously and practise passing, getting free and scoring.
Mobile netball posts make it possible to quickly convert a gymnasium or schoolyard into a netball court. After the lesson, the posts can easily be moved or stored away.
Netball can be played both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, the sport is suitable for sports halls and gymnasiums. Outdoors, netball can be used on schoolyards, sports courts, recreation fields and multifunctional sports locations.
The right version depends on the location, surface and intensity of use. W&H can advise on a suitable setup for indoor and outdoor applications.
Netball fits well on multifunctional sports floors. A modular sports floor can be used for multiple sports and can, depending on the line marking and setup, also be made suitable for netball.
In combination with mobile posts, this creates a flexible sports setup that can quickly be adapted to different sports, lessons, training sessions or events.
When setting up a netball court, it is important to look at the available space, surface, post position, storage space, safety and the intended use. The choice between temporary and more structural application also plays a role.
We are happy to think along with you about the right setup. This creates a practical netball setup that suits your sports hall, schoolyard, sports park or multifunctional sports location.
