More about our outdoor table tennis table
You have probably seen a tennis table at your sports club, on a school playground or at a sports square. And that is not surprising either. Table tennis has several advantages. The sport is accessible, can be played by several people at the same time and requires few materials. Are you looking for a table tennis table? W&H Sports offers different variants, varying in material, colour and accessories. For every budget and wishes, we can offer a suitable table tennis table.
What is the reason that you see table tennis tables in so many public spaces, sports parks, playgrounds and school playgrounds? Quality table tennis tables are vandal-proof, weather-resistant and therefore low-maintenance. In addition, it is a sport that everyone can learn and is absolutely not age-bound. The outdoor ping pong tables are specially developed for outdoor use. Outdoor table tennis tables, unlike indoor table tennis tables, are resistant to moisture. This is because the playing surface is made of PVC. As a result, the table tennis table is moisture-repellent and can withstand rain showers. The coating of the playing surface also ensures that sunlight is reflected via the playing surface. In short, play can simply continue in all weather types.
Sport table tennis has eleven basic rules. Each game is played to eleven points, whereby a player must have a lead of at least two points to win the game. A match is played according to the ‘best of five’ principle: the player who first wins three games is the winner. The service changes after every two points. From a score of 10-10, the server changes after every point.
A toss determines who starts serving. During the service, the ball lies visibly on the flat hand. This hand may not be below the table at the start of the toss. Then the ball must be thrown approximately 16 centimetres straight up before it is struck. The opponent must be able to see the ball during the entire service; shielding it with, for example, a hand, head, shoulder or stomach is not allowed. Finally, play is with a bat that is red on one side and black on the other.
Frequently asked questions
Next to this is an overview of a number of questions we often get! Can't work it out? Then feel free to contact us!
The table tennis tables can easily last several decades because the base is made of steel-reinforced polymer concrete.
The usual stains can be removed with a cloth and water but the tennis table could also be cleaned with a high-pressure washer or cleaner. Graffiti is best removed with acetone.
As a foundation, 4 concrete slabs with surcharge under the legs are sufficient. But a consistently firm surface such as a pavement or asphalt is of course more recommended.
Dedicated amateur players and even pros acknowledge that our polymer concrete tables have a much better ball bounce than other outdoor tables and that they even come close to that of a competition table.
Assembly is fairly simple but we also offer assembly.
