Discus cage on screw foundations for AV Generaal Michaëlis

Commissioned by the Municipality of Best, a protective cage for discus throwing was installed at the facility of athletics club Generaal Michaëlis. The cage is 6 metres high and meets IAAF requirements. It was installed using an innovative foundation method. Besides the discus cage, we also supplied a jumping pit cover.

Screw foundation

Ground sockets are normally set in concrete foundations, but here an innovative foundation method with screw foundations was chosen. The advantages: it saves costs and time, no digging is needed, no concrete is needed, it is an environmentally friendly method with a long service life and, not unimportantly, a screw foundation can be reused.
