Fitting out AZ Alkmaar's new air dome

The AZ Alkmaar air dome

For inspiration, AZ visited league rival Ajax and several clubs abroad. After a positive impression, the club decided to convert an old natural grass training pitch to make room for the new air dome. In February, work started on the artificial turf pitch and the erection of the dome. Within two days the complete air dome was standing. AZ Under 16 had the honour of playing the first match in the hall. It was a success: AZ Alkmaar beat their Real Madrid peers after a penalty shoot-out (5-3; 1-1 in regular time).

Supplied equipment

We played a significant role in fitting out the air dome. Among other things, we supplied two training goals (with a white coating), and the club chose mobile corner posts. These corner posts have a base, so they do not need to be pushed into the ground and can easily be moved.

Experience

Over the years we have built up a lot of experience fitting out air domes for various indoor sports. For hockey, for example, we can supply indoor hockey goals, indoor hockey boards and modular sports floors. We can also supply various types of stands.
