From a worn-out artificial turf field to a new recycled sports floor
Playing sports on a new floor made from recycled artificial turf; how great is that. Sportbedrijf Arnhem is leading the way in this by being the first to put a modular sports floor made from recycled artificial turf into use. Together with our producer of modular floors, Bergo Sports Flooring, we have developed a GreenMatter tile that consists for 50% of recycled raw materials from worn-out artificial turf fields.

At sports centre Valkenhuizen, the first 3×3 basketball court has recently been realised with GreenMatter modular sports tiles. According to Leo Berrevoets, manager of Real Estate & Sustainability at Sportbedrijf Arnhem, they place a high value on sustainability and very consciously choose the most sustainable option. The GreenMatter modular tile is available in the artificial turf colour (dark green), in the GreenMatter Ultimate and GreenMatter Ultimate Plus variants, and can be provided with line markings and logos. It is also possible to combine the GreenMatter tile with the modular plastic tiles, so that different colours can be chosen. The floor is 100% recyclable.
