New discus cage for AV Athloi

AV Athloi now has a new discus cage that fully meets the latest athletics requirements. This makes AV Athloi the next athletics club (following AV Atverni) to choose this innovative foundation method.

The screw foundation

Ground sockets are normally set in concrete foundations, but this project used an innovative foundation method. Its advantages: it saves costs and time, no digging is needed, no concrete is needed, it is environmentally friendly, it has a long service life and, not unimportantly, the screw foundation can be reused. Since early 2018, discus cages must be 600 cm high. The cage was placed on screw foundations and assembled by our installation partner Sport Installatie Partners.
