Several athletics projects completed in Amsterdam
For four athletics tracks in Amsterdam we supplied protective cages, landing mats, covers, boards, throwing circles and steeplechase hurdles.
The athletics track at sports park Elzenhagen, home of athletics club AV Atos, has been completely renewed. We played a part by supplying the protective cage for discus throwing (6 metres) and a protective cage for discus/hammer throwing. What makes it special is that the track is open to everyone when the athletics club or schools are not using it.
The athletics tracks at sports park Middenmeer (AV'23), sports park Ookmeer (AAC Amsterdam) and sports park de Schinkel (AV Phanos) were recently renovated. Many fixtures and fittings at these tracks were also renewed and we supplied the following: a protective cage for discus and hammer throwing, landing mats and covers for high jump and pole vault, take-off boards, blind boards, shot put stop boards, throwing circles and steeplechase hurdles.
The project was prepared and carried out in cooperation with the Municipality of Amsterdam, Kragten Advies- en Ingenieursbureau and CSC Sport.
