Attractive outdoor sport with the SmartGoals Urban SkillCourt

It's now 2022 and we are still dealing with a pandemic. Being able to exercise outdoors is probably even more important to many people than it already was. Municipalities are therefore increasingly offering residents ways to exercise outside. It is important that this appeals to a broad target group.

The SmartGoals Urban SkillCourt lets a municipality offer exactly that. This exercise concept is a permanent SmartGoals set-up that bridges exercise and gaming. SmartGoals are frames with integrated LED lighting that train awareness, action speed, reaction time and the brain, among other things. The SkillCourt can be fully customised and extended with other equipment, such as football goals, fitness installations and boarding. This makes it possible to play different sports on one court, appealing to a wide audience.

Rotterdam already has a SkillCourt: a sports area for young and old, trained or untrained. The court is 40 metres long and 12 metres wide and has five zones for gaming (training) or testing. Each zone has its own theme: technique, strength, performance, speed (running track) and gaming (fun). The court has also been extended with the TURNBAR®, a multifunctional fitness station. It is now used a lot. The video shows some of what the young players of BLS Sports train on the court.
