Baseball5 CityTour at NextGen Games on our modular floor
The Netherlands' first mobile Baseball5 court, on a Patmos Evolution floor, was used at the NextGen Games.
As a partner of the KNBSB (Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association), we are closely involved in building future Baseball5 courts. This year we installed the first mobile Baseball5 court in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam-Zuidoost.
The court uses the Patmos Evolution modular sports floor. It is suitable for outdoor use and designed to drain water quickly. The floor consists of 25 x 25 x 1.1 cm tiles, suitable for various sports and multifunctional use. The tiles come in various colours and can have line markings and (sponsor) logos.
The mobile court is now being used at various Baseball5 events. Last Friday, the second Baseball5 CityTour event took place at the NextGen Games, in the shadow of the Olympic Stadium. Young people were challenged to try a completely new sport, guided by enthusiastic national team players who explained the game and shared tips all day.
This summer the tour promotes Baseball5 at surprising locations in Dutch city centres, introducing young people up to 18 to the sport at unique places and moments.
