First Padel SportBox in Amsterdam a great success
The first SportBox XS-padel stands in the Sportheldenbuurt on Zeeburgereiland. Watch the video to see how it works.
Padel is currently the fastest-growing sport in the Netherlands. More and more people are discovering how much fun it is, and more padel courts are being built, both in public spaces and at tennis clubs.
The Municipality of Amsterdam has also built padel courts at several locations, and there will be more. Two padel courts have been laid in the Sportheldenbuurt on Zeeburgereiland. To serve users even better, the Municipality of Amsterdam was the first to choose our SportBox XS-padel.
This compact storage unit was developed specifically for padel, with space for four padel rackets and several balls. The SportBox XS can optionally be supplied on a stand, which is ideal here. Anyone who wants to play can reserve rackets and balls via the SportBox app. Nobody needs to be on site, and the rackets and balls can be used during the courts' opening hours. The box has been in use for a few weeks and has been used a lot so far.
What exactly is the SportBox?
The SportBox is a storage unit for fitness and training equipment that can be placed in various locations. Users register via an app and, using the app & move concept, can open the box, book training sessions and view exercises. The SportBox comes in four versions. The Original and Light (W 1375 x D 840 x H 1250 mm) are equipped with sports equipment of your choice. The SportBox XS (W 572 x D 416 x H 452.5 mm) has space for small or individual items. The SportBox XS-padel (same dimensions as the XS) is designed specifically for padel and suitable for storing rackets and balls.
In short: many possibilities, and a great way for municipalities or clubs to let residents or members enjoy varied sport at any time.
