Great project completed at the Abe Lenstra Stadium

sc Heerenveen has been busy lately. Last year the club started renovating the Abe Lenstra Stadium. We contributed to the project in phases, with our final order being new stadium seats for the entire Riemer van der Velde Stand. Riemer van der Velde laid the stadium's foundation stone in 1993; it seats 26,100 in total. Of these, 700 seats were removed and replaced with new ones.

After drawing up a detailed seating plan, the club chose the Avatar Premium, with armrests and padding on the seat and armrests. The seats were supplied in blue, white and red, bringing the club's iconic pompeblêden (water lily leaves) back into the stand. Our installation partner fitted the seats expertly.

sc Heerenveen also fitted the new seats with TAS Stadionreclame displays. TAS provides seat advertising with a logo holder mounted on a stadium seat. This makes the most of the seats, generating extra sponsorship income and fan engagement via QR codes. The holder is universal and fits almost all types of stadium seats. Luxury business seats can also carry a company logo or text.

Besides the work on the stand, we previously supplied other equipment to the Frisian professional club. Heerenveen chose two new stadium goals with tension bars, fitted with our ‘FLEXI’ net locking system. This gives a neat net suspension and the certainty that the net is fully secured in the goal profile. The dugouts were also fitted with 50 luxury dugout seats, the 25 in the home dugout with seat heating. The seats carry two sponsor logos and the Heerenveen logo.
