Outdoor fitness location on the new Waterfront in Aalsmeer

Aalsmeer has always been closely linked to water. The Westeinderplassen lakes are a valuable area, both for Aalsmeer's quality of life and for the region's tourism and economy. Developing a Waterfront is important to strengthen the town's connection with the water.
The Municipality of Aalsmeer wants to give the town ‘a face on the water’ with an attractive Waterfront. More ways to use it means more people can enjoy it. Until now, use was mostly limited to the summer; the new measures make the Waterfront attractive to residents all year round.
The two main elements are an attractive walking and cycling boulevard along the water and a more appealing recreational Surfeiland (surf island).
At the end of last year, we contributed to an outdoor fitness location by the Surfeiland with a view over the water. The stainless steel fitness equipment was installed on behalf of MVO Groep as part of various works along the waterline. It consists of pull-up bars, a sit-up bench, step boxes and low bars at three heights for various exercises. This durable equipment comes with a 10-year warranty. The surface consists of shock-absorbing rubber tiles, so you can exercise safely on the equipment and do floor exercises too.
