SmartGoals Urban SkillCourt knowledge morning Friday 20 May

After last year's success, we are once again organising a knowledge morning at the SmartGoals Urban SkillCourt in Rotterdam. New this year are the SkillCourt's fixed configurations: permanent set-ups of SmartGoals posts, designed for multifunctional use.

On Friday 20 May you are warmly invited, with a guest if you like, to the SmartGoals Urban SkillCourt at Sportcomplex Olympia in Rotterdam.

Together with our partner SmartGoals, we developed this interactive exercise concept, winner of the 2021 Sports Facilities Innovation Award, which brings together sport, play and gaming. We would like to give you the chance to experience it yourself and show the positive impact the court has on a municipality and its surroundings.

A unique exercise concept

Sportbedrijf Rotterdam gave us the opportunity to install the first Urban SkillCourt in the Netherlands, measuring 40 x 15 metres. There is now also a SmartGoals Urban SkillCourt in Lichtenvoorde, at Longa'30's De Treffer sports park.

Falling membership at sports clubs and the individualisation of society, combined with gaming culture among young people, led us to develop an interactive exercise concept. It lets municipalities offer residents and clubs a unique way to play sport and games, and even connect residents from different parts of the city: Connecting the City.

Besides the fixed configurations, a SkillCourt can be custom-made and fully tailored. The court can also be extended with other equipment, such as outdoor fitness stations and a SportBox. The SportBox is a storage unit for fitness and training equipment that can be placed in various locations, such as next to an Urban SkillCourt. This ensures the right equipment is always available and the location can be used multifunctionally.
