The sports season of team W&H Sports

This season Harm played for FC Lisse U23 in the 1st division. His excellent season was rewarded: next season he joins the first team. Kevin is also involved with FC Lisse's first team, where he has been Technical Manager for several years and will continue in that role next season.

Two colleagues play for the village club, sv DIOS. Kilian (also known as Gattuso) unfortunately had the worst season of us all: with DIOS's first team he was relegated from the 2nd class. Luckily he found distraction at the gym and in his graduation internship with us. DIOS's third team did a little better and finished mid-table. Its captain was our own Jordy, who retained his top scorer title with no fewer than 15 goals.

Our creative and cheerful colleague Jelle ran the Dam tot Damloop last September. He impulsively decided to take part a month beforehand and finished the 16 kilometres in style. A low point came in the KNVB Cup semi-final: normally he launches many a winger, but this time he flew through the air himself and broke his wrist in two places. From September, Jelle will be living in Barcelona. Rumour has it he is negotiating with a big club there, to be continued.

Last season Teun won a starting spot in vv Noordwijk's first team. This season he was again important for his team, going into the summer break with 28 matches and 4 goals as a centre-back. He won't sit still then either: he is cycling up the Alpe d'Huez and the Col du Galibier.

Last season Mandy moved from FC Rijnvogels to Ajax amateurs. With so much quality in the team, results were in double figures every week, with a high of 22-2. On 1 April the championship was secured. On to a higher division.

Our marketing intern Boris left Teylingen as a youngster but returned to his old club this season. He plays in Teylingen 1 with many friends and, despite numerous injuries, enjoyed it.

Directors William, Rogier and Sander work too hard for sporting highlights, but still exercise: cycling, running, the gym and the occasional game of padel. Kevin, Kilian, Jordy and Mandy also regularly play padel. Time for a W&H Sports padel tournament.
