W&H Sports in Belgium

Besides our diverse client base in the Netherlands, we regularly get to practise our passion abroad. Our southern neighbours have found us often in recent years.

Fitting out football facilities

Football is the most popular sport among young people in Belgium, and the national team is known as the Red Devils. Last Friday the Netherlands beat Belgium for the first time since 1997, in the Nations League. The Low Countries derby ended 1-4 to the Netherlands.

For years the Netherlands ranked well above Belgium in the FIFA world rankings, but in recent years the roles have reversed. Is the same trend visible in sports facilities, helping Belgian talent continue to develop?

At top-flight clubs (Jupiler Pro League) such as Club Brugge, KAA Gent, KRC Genk, OH Leuven, KV Mechelen and K Beerschot VA, we have supplied stadium seats, business seats, dressing room fit-outs and SmartGoals, among other things. Our most recent project is at Lommel SK, playing in Belgium's second tier, which chose our stadium seats for its brand-new main stand ahead of its anniversary season.

Stadium seats

Besides football, cycling is one of the most popular sports in Belgium and, as a national sport, gets a lot of media attention. Drive along Belgian back roads on any Saturday or Sunday and you're likely to meet groups of cyclists. At Sportcomplex Vlaanderen in Heusden-Zolder, an indoor velodrome is being built where European and world championships can be held. You'll see both our stadium seats and our mobile stands there in 2023.

Sports equipment in Belgium

We have also supplied sports equipment to various clients in athletics, basketball, tennis, hockey and volleyball. In short: W&H Sports and Belgium have found each other, and we are proud of all our projects there.
