W&H Sports: so much more than traditional sports equipment
Besides goals, dugouts and stadium seats, we presented the Urban SkillCourt, SportBox, digital asset management and GreenMatter at the 2022 trade fair.
Traditionally, we are a supplier of sports equipment such as safe movable goals, dugouts, dressing room fit-outs, stadium seats and modular sports floors. We also have other great initiatives, such as the Urban SkillCourt, the SportBox, digital asset management and GreenMatter, which we are happy to present to you at the Vakbeurs Sportaccommodaties (sports facilities trade fair).
Digital management of sports equipment
On 26 April we will be at the fair together with Data Control. Together we offer a digital maintenance and management plan for sports equipment. The Aantoonbaar Beheer Systeem (ABS, demonstrable management system) keeps all planned maintenance, documents (such as certificates), visual inspections and repairs up to date. It also makes budgets and investment plans easier and clearer. We are the first in the Netherlands to enable digital management of sports equipment for (outdoor) sports facilities.
SmartGoals Urban SkillCourt and SportBox
Together with our partner SmartGoals, we launched the interactive sport and exercise concept Urban SkillCourt for public spaces. This permanent set-up of SmartGoals posts can be configured entirely to your wishes and responds to trends such as gamification and digitalisation combined with sport. The court can be extended with other equipment, including the SportBox, making it even more attractive to a wide audience. The SportBox is a storage unit for fitness and training equipment. Users register via an app and, using the app & move concept, can open the box, book training sessions and view exercises. The contents are protected against theft and unauthorised use by an intelligent camera system.
GreenMatter
Since 2019, together with our partner Lankhorst Engineered Products, we have been rolling out our GreenMatter initiative. When replaced, artificial turf is often seen as waste. We see it as a valuable raw material for new products, aiming to become 100% circular. Our goal is to tackle the artificial turf waste mountain by developing and producing products from recycled turf. With this transparent and above all practical vision, we support municipalities and others in a circular approach. Our range offers many ways to bring every kilogram of turf fibre back to the sports facility or public space in a new form.
