Our play equipment is an important part of the overall layout. From climbing and balancing equipment to play combinations and equipment aimed at motor skills, imagination and cooperation. Many play items are made of recycled plastic and are low-maintenance, weather-resistant and splinter-free. This way, we combine a high play value with a long service life and conscious use of materials.
In addition, the schoolyard can be supplemented with, among other things, outdoor table football, outdoor table tennis tables, TEQBALL tables and outdoor fitness equipment. This creates a versatile play and movement environment in which children are challenged in different ways to be active.

Circularity
Circularity plays an important role in the design of a schoolyard. Many of our play equipment products are made from recycled plastic, with existing material streams reused as raw material. After use, the material can also be recycled again. This way, we combine play value and a long service life with more conscious use of materials and raw materials.

Frequently asked questions
Safety is an important starting point in the design of a schoolyard. Therefore, play equipment and the surface must meet various European safety standards. For example, EN 1177:2018 states that for play equipment with a fall height from 60 centimeters, a shock-absorbing surface is required. This surface must also be part of a free-fall area without obstacles.
In addition, EN 1176 applies, the European standard for safe play equipment. This standard includes requirements relating to the safety of play equipment and is aimed at limiting risks that can arise during use.

Each municipality offers different subsidies for the design of a schoolyard. In most cases, it’s about support for ‘greening’ the schoolyard. Our GreenMatter products fit in perfectly here.

Designing a safe schoolyard
When designing and furnishing a schoolyard, we also take safety into account. The chosen playground equipment, free spaces and impact-absorbing surfaces must comply with the applicable safety standards. Depending on the type of playground equipment and the fall height, for example, a shock-absorbing surface may be needed.
We therefore advise not only on the choice of playground equipment, but also look at the placement, the surface and the mutual coherence of the different components. This creates a schoolyard that is practically designed and can be used safely.
